engcon Positioning System

Engcon is now taking a further step into the future, by adapting their products with excavator guidance systems/machine sensors. Engcon Positioning System works with Engcon’s tiltrotators EC209 and up.

Prerequisites
The technology is based on the system delivering signals to the excavation system that the customer has on their excavator. Engcon supplies the rotary encoder and the excavation system supplier delivers the tilt sensor.

With the combination of Engcon Positioning System, excavator models, and certain brands of excavator guidance systems, the auto-tilt and Auto-rotate function can also be obtained. Contact your excavator system supplier for more information.

Advantages
Together with the excavator guidance system, Engcon Positional System reduces the need for conventional setup. The driver can see the excavation area via the machine control system’s display in the cab. This control allows the driver to excavate the correct amount of material gives many benefits:

  • Time
  • Reduced fuel consumption
  • Reduced machine and tool wear
  • Save time for other units such as, truck/dump truck as drive away the excavated masses
  • Adapted for Engcon’s proportional control system but possible to mount on other control systems
  • Completely independent of model or make of control system via own cabling
  • Possible to order/retrofit to all tiltrotators from EC209 and up
