engcon is now taking a further step into the future by adapting its products to the latest technology with excavating systems/machine control.

ePS is optimised for engcon's smart DC2 control systems where the cabling for the ePS is integrated with the cabling for DC2 but is also "open", which means the ePS also works together with engcon's other control systems and those of other makes.

The technology is based on signals from ePS to the excavation system used by the customer on his machine. The aim is for as many excavation system makes as possible to be able to communicate with ePS.

Together with the selected excavation system, ePS reduces the need for a 'conventional' set-up, and the driver can see the exact excavation area via the machine control system's display in the cab. This control, ensuring that exactly the right quantity of material is excavated, provides many benefits:

  • Assignment time
  • Reduced fuel consumption
  • Reduced machine and attachment wear
  • Saves time for other units, such as trucks/dumpers that drive away the excavation material.
  • Less restoration work with reduced backfill volumes.
  • Adapted to the DC2 control system but possible to mount on other control systems
  • Available for order/retrofitting to all EC from EC209 and up*
    *Some modification to EC30 required.

engcon supplies the rotation sensor and the tilt sensor is supplied by the supplier of the positioning system.

Auto-tilt and auto-rotation functions can also be obtained with the combination ePS and certain makes of excavators and excavator guidance systems. Contact your excavator guidance system supplier for further information.

System engcon

What is most important for you?

  • Profitability

System engcon, centred around the tiltrotator, saves both time and fuel.

  • Safety

Fewer machine transits and less need for manual work mean increased safety at the workplace.

  • Flexibility

The tiltrotator's ability to tilt and rotate makes the machine a good all-rounder that carries out most tasks with greater precision.

  • Efficiency

Fewer machine movements and faster jobs mean less wear on the machine.
