Hyundai factory-prepares its excavators for Engcon tiltrotators

Hyundai Construction Equipment in Europe (HCEE) made an announcement at the world's largest construction machinery trade fair, Bauma 2019, that they will start factory-fitting Engcon's DC2 stepless proportional control system to their excavators. The decision means that Hyundai excavators will be prepared to be equipped with Engcon's tiltrotators.

"We are obviously very pleased to be a preferred supplier," says Krister Blomgren, Engcon CEO.

The first model of an Engcon-equipped excavator was shown at the Bauma 2019 trade fair. Engcon's DC2 control system and MIG2 levers will be integrated directly into the excavators, facilitating connection of Engcon's tiltrotator.

"We are both delighted and proud that Hyundai has chosen us to prepare its excavators for a tiltrotator. It's great to see that more and more manufacturers are realizing the potential of our products and how much they can streamline their excavators. In some situations, a tiltrotator can optimize excavation work with up to a 50 percent total efficiency improvement”, says Krister Blomgren, Engcon CEO.

Initially, Hyundai excavators with factory-fitted Engcon equipment will be available on the European market, with the aim of offering it globally in the future.

"It feels wise to start on the European market. On the one hand, Europe is in many ways already ready for the technology itself, but it is also closer to us here in Sweden in order to facilitate assisting Hyundai during the initial processes of our collaboration”, says Krister.

Hyundai comments on the decision:

"We see enormous potential in Engcon's tiltrotators, as they simplify and streamline work. That's why we chose to integrate this solution into our machines”, says Peter Sebold, product specialist at HCEE.
