Engcon plays a key role for Jack Divall Earthmoving

Jack Divall Earthmoving of Goulburn, New South Wales provides a wide range of earthworks for agricultural, residential and industrial construction and maintenance. Work includes subdivisions, drainage excavations, access roads, dams, road and highway works, land clearing and public space maintenance.

From the age of just three years, Jack Divall was right at home in the cabin and operating the controls of excavators. Coming from a long family heritage in the earthmoving industry, Jack’s interest in machines at this age was hardly surprising.
Even at this age, Jack had developed a deep fascination with digging. He was never in doubt that his future lay in operating earthmoving machinery, together with the challenge of finding out how to develop his skills and explore new techniques to achieve the greatest productivity.

Arriving home from school at the age of seven, Jack didn't waste time jumping onto the machines to practice his digging technique.
By the time he was 18 years of age Jack had become a completely competent and professional excavator operator, winning the Civil Contractors Federation New South Wales "Operator of The Year" award.

After spending some time in the family earthmoving business Jack decided it was time to go out on his own, establishing Jack Divall Earthmoving and buying his first 14-tonne machine, a Komatsu PC138 excavator.

Recognising the value of innovation
Like many of the today’s younger generation, Jack keenly followed social media posts on the progress of innovative earthmoving operators in Europe and the USA. He quickly grasped the significance of how new technologies were reshaping the world of earthmoving, undertaking intensive market research that took him to Hillhead in the UK and Conexpo in the U.S.
On these visits he spoke with many of the leading adopters of tiltrotators and Trimble equipment, immediately recognising the benefits of the engcon EC-Oil automatic quick hitch system and DC2 control as the future for profitable earthmoving.
Further detailed research was undertaken to determine the best machine and tiltrotator system combinations, resulting in the purchase of a 17-tonne Komatsu PC170-LC and more recently a 15-tonne Komatsu PW148-8 excavator.
