Field Service Technician

Headquartered in northern Sweden, engcon is the world leading manufacturer of the tiltrotator, a “wrist” for excavators that allows the operator full flexibility, (tilt and rotate), for their attachments or buckets. The family business was founded in 1990, has more than 300 employees and an annual turnover of more than $175 million. The Australian subsidiary, established one year ago is fast growing. To keep on expanding we are now looking for a motivated and self-driven Field Service Technician who wants to be part of our fast-paced business journey.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Field Service Technician to join the engcon family in Australia, located in Sydney.

About the role

This is a position in which you will be responsible for installation, service and repair of the company’s products and systems to customers, including end users and dealers either directly or through the network of Engcon Service Partners (ESPs) and accredited dealers.

You will carry out service and repairs, either at Engcon premises or at dealerships or customer premises / jobsite.
Liaise with customers including operators, owners, dealers to provide an appropriate level of technical support for all Engcon products and systems. You will also provide over-the-air support using Engcon and 3rd party soft- and hardware, both in the field and remotely.
Train ESPs and dealers on installation, repair and servicing of Engcon equipment throughout Australia and New Zealand.

About you

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Experience as a field service tech
  • Good knowledge of and experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
  • High level of ambassadorial skills
  • Enjoys working independently
  • Reliable time management skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Driver’s license (company vehicle provided)
