Engcon, a leading manufacturer of specialist construction plant attachments across Scandinavia, Europe and North America seeks to make a key appointment to drive forward its expansion in the UK and Ireland.

Over 25 years ago in Scandinavia an inventor went out searching for manufacturers to put his dream into reality. Fast forward to 2008 and this one inventor’s initiative was rewarded by over 160 employees and a turnover of £50M+. Almost another 10 years later and this business now operates around the world and is entering its third successful year in the UK, forecasting another 100%+ increase in turnover by the end of this year for the UK operation.

The ethos that got this multi-national off the ground is its strongest selling point – an innovation that is bringing about highly significant advances in the efficiency of their customers’ capital equipment, reducing operating times and re-defining how access restrictions effect the operation of excavators for their end-user market.

Engcon have exclusively engaged ARV Solutions to recruit their second UK Product Ambassador. This role forms part of the international ambassador program for Engcon and will involve international travel to the company’s operating territories to share experiences and ideas with Product Ambassadors across the group.

The location for the ambassador in UK will be Gloucestershire.

» The Role

  • To help move this product further through the diffusion curve and into the forefront of the marketplace
  • Using a genuine belief in the product and its benefits to bring the market on-side
  • Calling potential customers from both warm and cold leads and engage in meaningful discussions about the products benefits
  • Working with the mind-set of future proofing your customer’s activity, winning their belief and willingness to bring this innovation to their own operations
  • Forging strong relationships with your market and ultimately closing deals for the sale of capital equipment
  • Providing administrational support for sales orders
  • Being a face-to-face contact for customers visiting the UK Sales and Service Centre

» The Person

  • An ambitious and forward thinking individual
  • Experience of product based sales, capital equipment experience is highly beneficial
  • Able to strike a rapport and gain the trust of end users within the Excavator market
  • An awareness of mechanical engineering or mechanical products would be advantageous
  • Experience of digging an advantage
  • The character to take ownership of the role and see the bigger picture
  • A willingness to work in a strongly team orientated environment
